This château wedding is nothing short of chic with two couture bridal gowns, a stunning château in the French countryside, and a lush garden rose installation.
Château weddings create an incredible experience for couples and their guests with grand centuries-old architecture, the possibility of on-site accommodations and multiple-day celebrations, and exclusivity to explore a stunning estate.
Château de Courtomer Wedding
Château de Courtomer embodies the elegance of the 18th century, with marble floors, delicate chandeliers, light-filled salons, a beautifully restored Pleyel grand piano, and a library with historic books warmed by a fire in the hearth. The château is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city in the French countryside for a fully exclusive experience.
Inspired by Sun King’s Palace Versailles, the château was built to impress and entertain. The estate includes 360 acres of park, woodland and farmland, with forests and fields maintaining the privacy of the estate.
The château is perfect for hosting your nearest and dearest, with picnic spots in the park, a well-equipped kitchen for the most discerning chef, outdoor seating for entertaining with a barbecue and fire pit, a variety of outdoor games to play, and bicycles to carry you through the countryside to the village.
The Fashion
We styled the bride in two couture Monique Lhuillier gowns in shades of pink. Her first gown was a fitted mini dress with puff sleeves and a flowing train from the bridal collection, paired with ivory and gold trailing rose statement earrings by Nicola Bathie.
Her second gown was a structured column gown in a blush and ivory floral print reminiscent of French antique textiles found throughout château interior design, delicately embellished along the neckline. The bride wore statement jewelry in tones of emerald and sapphire and rose-hued Jimmy Choo heels.
The groom wore custom pieces by Chris Von Martial, a designer in Paris with bespoke offerings.
The Invitation Suite
The invitation suite featured handmade paper and intricate border detailing, reminiscent of grand château architecture. The emerald and gold wax seals and envelopes act as a nod to the bride’s jewelry. The antique floral envelope liner echoes the garden roses throughout the wedding design.
The Floral Design
The floral design was centered on roses, with stunning garden roses from David Austin Wedding Roses, with varieties in Leonora, Purity, Keira, Charity, Eugenie, Constance, Darcey, and Tess. The floral design color palette was romantic and unexpected, with soft rose and blush accented with touches of red, cream, and gold.
The Reception
At the reception in the dining salon, centerpieces were floral-forward, with lush garden roses in artful arrangements surrounded by flickering taper candles. The place settings featured French antique crystal stemware and white and gold china atop intricate gold Florentine chargers.
For the paper goods, die-cut menus echoed the invitation’s detailed border and repeated their emerald and gold wax seals. The tasseled place cards were a soft blush toile as a nod to the bride’s floral print gown and classic château textile design.
